During our last visit to Paris, we had the chance to meet Stéphanie Chopin, director of one of the most emblematic English-speaking libraries in the capital: Smith and Son, located at 248 rue de Rivoli.

Passionate about history and heritage, Stéphanie discovered medals Genius Loci during our first participation in the Salon International du Patrimoine Culturel in 2023. Since then, she has equipped her library with 20 medals to tell the fascinating story of this place steeped in memory.

Stéphanie's idea is simple and innovative: to introduce the library in a fun and qualitative way. Several medals have been placed in recently revalued historical locations, offering visitors a unique immersion in the past of the place. She shares enthusiastically: "It's extremely fun to do, and it's very satisfying!"

But this project goes even further. Stéphanie plans to create a real historical route with 15 to 16 additional medals, to allow visitors to follow a sort of treasure hunt through the hidden treasures of the library. A fun trail that could even offer a reward for those who complete it. We hope to learn more about this exciting initiative in the coming months!

This partnership between Smith and Son and Genius Loci proaims to give new life to this iconic space, offering visitors a unique and enriching experience in the heart of Paris.

The mission of Genius Loci is to make the development of local heritage accessible to as many people as possible.

Our prices are intended to be affordable for cities, regions and small villages. For the price of a single classic tourist sign, it is possible to deploy several dozen of our medals.
