Genius Loci was designed as an easy interface for contributing content. We have also designed several quality moderation tools.

Moderation of comments

When a visitor comments on content, the Genius will immediately receive an email. When deciding to enable comments, it is important that Geniuses control the quality of what is posted by their visitors. Any visitor can also "report" an unpleasant comment or one that does not belong on the platform and our team can quickly delete it.

Invite new Geniuses

For certain places of interest where the content can be particularly rich, it can be interesting to invite several Genius to contribute to the content.

Nothing could be simpler, in the "My Places" section it is possible to enter the email of a future Genius to invite him to join the place and edit it.

In case you feel that the owner of a place is reluctant to let you install a medal for a place located on his property, we recommend that you invite him to become a Genius himself.

When a genius joins Genius Loci, he can create his own profile, add his bio and modify his portrait image.

Super Admin Mode

This feature is under development. Some cities that will finance medals Genius Loci expressed the need to limit the risk of unsolicited content modification, after the medal has been installed on a municipal monument for example. This adds safeguards and a certain level of control. Super admin mode allows for example:

To add a "disclaimer" message below the content written by the Geniuses
To remove access to the location from a particular Genius
To “lock” a place temporarily or permanently in order to prevent any modification
