Part of the Learned Societies of Savoie since 2000, La Salévienne brings together more than 200 lovers of their village who wish to participate in historical research or simply learn about and understand the regional past. This association located in Genevois, in Haute-Savoie, has acquired 50 medals to promote the treasures around Mont Salève.
La Salévienne played a crucial role in the evolution of the project Genius Loci. From the start, we contacted this renowned association to validate our concept and understand their specific needs. Personalities such as Pierre Cusin, Jean Louis Sarte and Nathalie Debize have reinforced our conviction to move forward, highlighting the considerable potential for promoting local heritage in the region and the ease of setting up the medals Genius Loci.
Before discovering Genius Loci, the association had already installed around ten tourist signs. This process required a lot of time, in-depth discussions, agreements with local authorities, and generated significant costs, involving requests for subsidies.
Genius Loci offered the association the possibility of producing unlimited content, with automatic translation for foreign visitors, and of discovering all the nearby places thanks to the “Route” mode.
The association had a large quantity of heritage data which it was able to quickly integrate into the tool. The 50 medals were thus installed in record time, spread over more than 10 municipalities.
Before placing each medal, the members of the association contacted the leaders of each municipality or the private owners, who all reacted positively to the idea of promoting their territory.
We continue to collaborate regularly to improve the tool and the visitor experience.
The mission of Genius Loci is to make the development of local heritage accessible to as many people as possible.
Our prices are intended to be affordable for cities, regions and small villages. For the price of a single classic tourist sign, it is possible to deploy several dozen of our medals.
It is possible to acquire only a pack of 20 medals, or to entrust us with a broader mandate based on support, which includes a citizen workshop and a WhatsApp support group dedicated to your project.

Today, the “ genius loci » designates the particular atmosphere of a place, its character, its history. The term is particularly used in architecture.
Now we’ve taken up this notion to create a rewarding and easy-to-use tool for cities, community organizations and individual citizens, to promote and digitize their favorite hidden attractions and secrets, while preserving heritage for all to access.
