Genius Loci is built on web technologies, which means that the medals can only be scanned in places with a minimum of network coverage (4G, 5G, Wifi, etc.). On the other hand, the immense advantage is that the contents are immediately accessible. No need to install an App, no need to register.

Public chat Genius Loci the contents are presented in the form of “secret” cards. By scrolling horizontally, the visitor discovers the different secrets of the place. There are two versions of the content: a “short version” limited to 140 characters which is immediately displayed in the cards, which serves to make the visitor want to discover the rest, and a “long version”, whose quantity of content is unlimited. By clicking on a secret card, the visitor can read the long version.

From now on, when a visitor finds a medal, they are informed of other medals in the surrounding area and can directly open their GPS to navigate there. Beforehand, the Geniuses (contributors) must simply enter the GPS coordinates of the medals.

It is also a way for the Genius to get feedback from visitors, and possibly suggestions for improving the content.

By default, on Genius Loci, comments are disabled on all content. But for a Genius it is very easy to activate them, if he wishes.

This is done contextually for each secret.
Go down (scroll) to the very end of the secret and click on the small ON/OFF button "Activate comments" The comments space appears immediately following the secret

This instantaneous experience allows the visitor to discover relevant information,
at the exact moment when it might interest him the most (i.e. in context). The Geniuses
They also strive to write cutting-edge and exciting content, taking advantage of this contextual situation. Since we know exactly where the visitor will be when discovering the medal, it is easy to give them instructions such as “look to the right and take 30 steps from the medal, you will discover this inscription on the wall…” Visitors can then scroll horizontally (swipe) the small secret cards. By pressing one of them, the details of the secret will unfold, allowing you to go deeper into the content. There are therefore two levels of reading: quickly browse the secrets of the place, or take the time and delve with pleasure into the long version. The images can be enlarged to see all the details. Visitors can also click on the little heart (like) to show their appreciation of the Genius' work, or even leave a comment. Finally, visitors will soon have access to the central map showing the position of all the Genius Loci public. Enough to give them new ideas
