Toen Maxence Robyns voor het eerst de film Titanic van James Cameron zag, ontwaakte in hem een grenzeloze passie voor maritieme geschiedenis. Na zijn diploma aan de Universit\u00e9 de Namur besloot hij zijn academische weg verder te zetten aan de Universit\u00e9 des Antilles, waar hij zijn doctoraat behaalde.<\/p>\n

Als een van de weinige experts in maritieme geschiedenis van Martinique beschikt hij over een uitzonderlijke beheersing van de archieffondsen rond de maritieme geschiedenis van de Kleine Antillen. Hij werkte als docent aan de Universit\u00e9 des Antilles en als leraar geschiedenis-aardrijkskunde in verschillende onderwijsinstellingen in Occitanie.<\/p>\n

In 2022 startte hij als freelancer onder de naam Histremer, om in 2024 samen met Bastien Dubuisson<\/a> het bureau HistHorizons<\/a> op te richten.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ervan overtuigd dat de Genius Loci-medailles kunnen bijdragen aan een bredere bekendheid van de geschiedenis, is Maxence Robyns er trots op Ambassadeur van het merk te zijn voor de regio’s Gard, H\u00e9rault, Guadeloupe en Martinique.<\/div>\n
