Ambassadors are expert heritage professionals approved by Genius Loci. In your region, they are at your service to carry out your heritage enhancement projects.

When Maxence Robyns first watched James Cameron’s film Titanic, an immeasurable passion for maritime history was born in him. A graduate of the University of Namur, he chose to continue his academic path at the University of the Antilles, where he earned his doctoral thesis.

As one of the few experts in the maritime history of Martinique, his deep expertise in the field is reflected in an exceptional command of the archival collections devoted to the maritime history of the Lesser Antilles. He has worked as a lecturer at the University of the Antilles and as a history and geography teacher in several institutions in Occitania.

In 2022, he went freelance under the name Histremer before partnering, in 2024, with Bastien Dubuisson to create the agency HistHorizons.

Convinced that Genius Loci medals can help promote history to the widest possible audience, Maxence Robyns is proud to be the brand’s ambassador for the regions of Gard, Hérault, Guadeloupe and Martinique.
