Ambassadors are heritage professionals accredited by Genius Loci. In your region, they are at your service to lead your heritage enhancement projects.
Holding degrees in Art History and Archaeology and in Classical Languages (Université Libre de Bruxelles, 2012), I went on to complete a second master’s in Heritage Studies (University of Cambridge, 2016), which led me to explore the ethical dimensions of historical practice and its role in the public sphere. My research dissertation focused on communicating archaeological knowledge and the principle of uncertainty within cultural institutions and attractions.
From 2010 to 2014, I took part in various archaeological fieldwork missions in France (ULB), Lebanon (British Museum), India (Deccan College), and Cyprus (École française d’Athènes). In 2014, I held the position of museologist at the Corporation de la maison Dumulon (Rouyn-Noranda, Québec). From September 2017 to February 2021, I taught history and Latin at the Lycée Prince de Liège in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), where I also joined the Texaf-Bilembo team, contributing to books on contemporary Congolese art (edited by Ch. Tombu, Weyrich Éditions, Belgium).
In 2020, I obtained a Belgian professional drone pilot licence.
That same year, I co-founded Retrace, a heritage enhancement agency, together with Julie Waseige, also a Genius Loci Ambassador. Together, we work with individuals and communities who wish to safeguard, promote, and share their historical, artistic, or archaeological heritage. We offer tailored services combining scholarly research, content design, and production.
Since its founding, Retrace has written and produced catalogues of private collections, biographies, and lavishly illustrated books devoted to architectural heritage. With a keen interest in emerging technologies, the agency has also helped develop an online catalogue raisonné service and provides aerial drone imagery to document natural and historical heritage. Its clients include non-profit associations, foundations, businesses, and families, whom it supports from the initial definition of their needs through to the delivery of their projects.
