Genius Loci medals, with a design patented at WIPO, are made of 316L stainless steel and built to last.

The marking technology we use is employed in the medical industry, by the military and even by NASA to mark space equipment, both inside and outside its vehicles.

Our marking technology takes longer than classic engraving but is valuable because it preserves the natural resistance layer of stainless steel (called the passive layer) and prevents the natural corrosion of the metal. It also requires no paints or chemical coatings. You can recognise the quality of the marking by a slight bluish reflection when exposed to light.

To ensure an optimal lifespan for the medals, it is important to install them vertically rather than horizontally. This way dust and dirt cannot affect the aesthetics or hinder the readability of the QR code in the long run.
