First of all, by trusting you, because we are not the authors of the content ourselves.
Your Genius Loci spaces belong to you and you have the mission, but also the responsibility, to create quality content there about the places you love.
Genius Loci is the tool that hosts your content. That does not mean the content is not monitored — quite the opposite:
Fundamentally, it is important to note that Genius Loci is not a social network instantly accessible to everyone. Content is only accessible when you find and scan the medal.
We work with cities, regions, tourism offices, associations, etc. When they launch a project, they always designate a trusted person who will take responsibility for the project. That person usually decides which places to highlight and, above all, which people are invited to create content.
Across the projects already launched, we observe several different methods to control quality.
- Content can be created by your team, which lets you maintain full control.
- If you lack human resources internally, you can hire a writer to create the content, which ensures overall quality and a unified tone of voice.
- You can also include trusted citizens. This brings extremely rich content and helps gather and preserve local memories. In that case, the project lead can review the content and correct errors when needed.
Our digital interface has several features to help the project lead control quality:
Super Admin mode
Super Admin mode lets you:
- Invite new Geniuses
- Revoke access to the place for a specific Genius
- In the future, “lock” a place temporarily or permanently to prevent any changes
Editing content
Content can be modified whenever needed. Creating and editing content is very easy — either from a smartphone or a computer. The Genius can also easily edit the content of the secrets and reorder the secret cards. A typo, for example, can be corrected instantly once spotted.
Our team also reviews content quality. If we notice errors or misuse of the tool, we contact the project lead. We also reserve the right to remove content that does not respect our Genius Charter.
